Two of the services that have gotten the most attention are Izea’s Sponsored Tweets and Ad.ly. Both offer a way to bring advertisers and Tweeters together but yesterday, Ad.ly has raised the bar.

Working with PeopleBrowsr, Ad.ly introduced analytics into their platform for both advertisers and Twitterers. I ran some stats on my account and have shared the results below.

What I find most interesting is their offer of a premium version. For $9.99 per month (or $99.99 a year), you can keep up-to-date with Twitter metrics like Sentiment Analysis, Individual Follower Engagement, Detailed Location Reports and a larger list of Your Most Influential Followers.

Other reputation management services offer this type of analytics capability for much more, so if the data and reports are compelling, that price is a steal.

Mixing Twitter with telephony is the name of the game as far as Twalkin is concerned. In general terms, what this new service does is to let you talk with your Twitter friends over the telephone line. The system has only two obvious requisites: having a Twitter account, and having a iPhone to talk through. If you have both, you can deem yourself as a potential user of this service. Actually, there is only other thing that you are going to need and that is installing the Twalkin app. You can procure it and install it for free on the site.

Once you have done so, you will be capable of having a private chat with your Twitter acquaintances, and also hold a conference call if that is what you want. And if you are in a position where you must make announcements to a team or a group of fans this will do as well.

These are the three types of twalks you can have: private, public and broadcast ones. The best thing might as well be that each and every twalk will be saved for future reference. That means that if any follower missed the broadcast he will be capable of catching it up later on.

Of course, phone rates apply if you use Twalkin, but there are no fees to be paid to the Twalkin team itself – the app is free, and their service on the whole is provided at no cost.
